Alexandre Gama is one of the most awarded creative professionals in the Brazilian market. His many awards include 23 Cannes Lions and the title of Leading Communication Professional, awarded by Brazil’s Prêmio Caboré, in 2007.
Alexandre Gama founded NEOGAMA in 1999 following spells as Creative Partner at ALMAP/BBDO and President/CEO at Y&R Brazil. Since launching NEOGAMA, Alexandre and his team have led the agency to break many paradigms and beat several records.
In 2002, NEOGAMA partnered with BBH and established itself as one of the most creative agencies in the country. In 2003 NEOGAMA/BBH became the first Brazilian agency to be simultaneously awarded Gold Cannes Lions in the Press and Film categories in the same year. NEOGAMA is also the only Brazilian agency to win a Cannes Lion during its first year of operation.
In 2006, Alexandre Gama was voted Agency Head of the Year at the 10th Professional Contribution Award of the APP – Association of Advertising Professionals. In the same year, Alexandre and NEOGAMA/BBH were named one of seven Agencies of the Future in the 18th anniversary edition of the magazine About.
In July 2012 Alexandre Gama took over from Sir John Hegarty as BBH’s Worldwide Chief Creative Officer. Alexandre remains President of Neogama/BBH.
